Asthma
How do you know you have it?
Uncontrolled cough.
It is hard to breath.
You can see your ribs when you breath in.
A wheezing sound when you breath in.
What is asthma?
Asthma happens when the bronchial tubes in the lungs become swollen and inflamed, making it hard for oxygen to enter into the lungs. The airway tends to become inflamed when you breath in something that you are allergic to (pollen from flowers, cat hair, or dust mites).
How is asthma treated?
A medicine that stops the bronchial tubes from being swollen.
An inhaler that is used every four to six hours, and every time you have an asthma attack.
What should you do?
Playing sports is highly recommended to strengthen lungs, as long as it is done under the supervision of an adult and you are careful! Be careful not to breath in things that could cause an allergic reaction. Clean your house thouroghly so that there isn't any dust or dust mites.
And remember, always ask your doctor!
