Nosebleed
What is a nosebleed?
A nosebleed, as the name suggests, occurs when our nose starts bleeding. It happens when the blood vessels in the nose break.
Or blood vessels transport blood throughout the body, and the ones in the nose can easily break due to heat, allergies, a cold, a hit, picking our nose...
Tips
A nosebleed normally lasts for less than half an hour. If it lasts a long time or happens very frequently, it's advisable to go see a doctor.
While bleeding, you can place gauze or damp cotton to plug the nose. It's also recommended to lean slightly forward to prevent swallowing blood.
Putting a cloth with ice on the nose can help close the blood vessels more quickly.
And remember, always ask your doctor!
