What is insomnia?
Insomnia is a sleep disorder.
People with insomnia have trouble falling asleep when going to bed, staying asleep throughout the night and achieving quality sleep.
Tips
Insomnia can have many causes, but the following tips can help us sleep more and better:
1. Have an early and consistent dinner time so that our body learns when it's time to sleep.
2. It's advisable to have a light dinner, as heavy digestion can cause insomnia.
3. Avoid caffeine-containing drinks like sodas, as they interfere with sleep.
4. No electronic screens before sleep, as they can keep us awake.
5. Avoid doing intense exercise or engaging in exciting games right before bedtime; it's important to create a relaxed atmosphere.
6. The bedroom should be a dark and quiet place. At most, a soft light can be used to help with fear of the dark.
7. If you snore, it might be due to a respiratory problem, which also affects sleep quality.
