What is Lyme disease?

Lyme disease is an illness that can be transmitted through the bite of a tick.
It's characterized by red circles around the tick bite, and it causes muscle pain, chills, fatigue, and fever.
If not treated in time, it can become a serious disease.

How is it treated?

An antibiotic treatment is necessary.

Tips

When going to the mountains or the countryside, it is recommended to wear long-sleeved clothing to prevent tick bites. Bug repellents can also be used.
If you suspect that you have been bitten by a tick, seek adult help immediately.
To remove a tick, use tweezers to grip it as close to the skin as possible. After removal make sure to clean the area thoroughly with water and soap.
